Our mission

Kurgan State University should become a driver of positive changes in the public life of the Kurgan region and a support center for advanced socio-economic development. It should provide the needs of the region with competitive personnel, including high-tech modern sectors of the economy.

History of KSU

Kurgan State University was founded in 1995 by the merger of Kurgan Engineering Institute (1960-1995) and Kurgan Pedagogic Institute (1951-1995).

KSU Today

Kurgan State University is a leading university in Zauralye (the territory of Russia, east of the Ural mountains). There are more than 10,000 enrolled students in 6 institutes. There are full-time and part-time programmes in the fields of natural sciences, engineering, social sciences, humanities, economics and management. The university is open to international collaboration with 14 partners all over the globe. The University has good facilities. There is a swimming pool, a preventorium, a botanic garden, gyms. All non-resident students are provided with dormitories.
